DiscographyI have a CD called Let it Go available to buy or download. It's also available from itunes and several other online music download stores. If you go this way, please search Michael Waite instead of Mike so their computer doesn't have to think too hard. You can also find it in Marquette at the Food Coop, both Jim's and MacDonald's music stores, and if you happen to catch me when I am within range of my car. The players on the disc are: Jared Nelson SmithI took a canoe from my house to his a few times as a kid. He lives in Los Angeles sometimes and writes and records songs sometimes and once rented a wolf as a part of his other job. The way he plays guitar on this disc makes me wonder if I should move out to the hills of New Mexico and learn to sing with the coyotes. Check him out at musicbyjared.com John ChurchvilleTo call John a drummer is like calling a white pine you can't get two people's arms around a tree. He has the incredible ability to interact with what's going on around him without being pulled off center. He can play tabla drums with the best in the world (and has). To top it off he's an outstanding teacher. AND he still has his Yooper accent. Holy Wah. Here is his online home Ryan StaplesThe studio we were in is called Pragma Studios, which Ryan built out of a loft apartment in Chicago. He and a partner ran it there while he does sound for TV shows as a regular job. He operates Pro Tools with as much ease as I might operate a riding mower on the salt flats on a warm, dry morning. Stephanie WhitonStephanie played percussion on a couple tunes, especially the devastating toenails on "Cold Black Water." There are few things as exciting as a new baby and she has real one, a darling boy. A child is so fortunate to be born to such kind and creative parents as her and Ryan. Ben ImdiekeBen came in a few times to play banjo or whatever else we asked of him. He's the guy who played cumbus, the plinky mandolin all the way through "Arizona Bill." I remember the expression on his face after that tune was through, and he looked like he could have gone on for another half hour. |
